Greetings friends! We are excited about our newly updated website (thanks to Digi Pro Media) and getting our blog going! With so many things to write about, we can?t wait to share new and exciting projects, recipes, and more with you.
First, we are excited to be celebrating our 10-year anniversary this year - what a milestone! Though owner and chef Mike DeSorbo has been in the industry for over 22 years, he has been running the operation for a solid 10 years now and we have seen some major growth over the years. From the first few parties catered out of his own home with his wife Tristan helping out, to the quaint Mike D?s sandwich shop in historic Pensacola Village on Zaragoza street (we quickly outgrew that spot with the larger demand for catering events) to our home sweet home located at 700 W. Main Street (formerly Jesus Cares).
From our spot, we?ve seen the growth of downtown Pensacola, got to witness the crumbling down of the old sewage plant next door (now we can actually look across the field and see downtown), and watched and continue to watch the development of the Maritime Park stadium and its? surroundings.
We?ve been busy with the summer wedding season and have just enough time to catch our breath before we head into fall wedding season and holiday parties. We are excited to be in charge of renting out the new Digi Pro Media Event Space for smaller to medium sized parties. The location is at 811 W. Garden Street and is the perfect spot to host your bday party, bridal shower, baby shower, sports watching event, guys night out party, and more for 35-50 people depending on the layout.
We have also added Gallery Night to our list, with Chefs Mike and Dave cooking food in front of O?Reilley?s downtown. We will also be gearing up for our next signature Gourmet Dinner Night - what will our theme be this time?
And last but not least, our CPI family is growing with the addition of Mike and Tristan?s first born son, due any day now! We can?t wait to meet him and will be sharing pics of the little tyke soon! So stay tuned for the next Culinary Connection folks!
